The Bryn Mawr Hound Show is recognized as the oldest complete outdoor hound show in America and is held annually at the Radnor Hunt Club in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
This prestigious event celebrates the traditions of hounds and hunting, attracting participants and spectators from across the United States and Canada.
The show’s primary purpose is to exhibit and judge various breeds of hunting hounds, including:
It serves to showcase the conformation, breeding, and performance of these hounds, culminating in individual class championships and pack competitions.
The show usually takes place over two days, beginning Friday evening with a cocktail reception, horn blowing and whip cracking competitions, dinner, and the presentation of the Marshall Award. Saturday features the main judging, along with Junior Handler classes and Performance Trial hounds.
Spectators are most welcome to attend the show. No tickets are necessary and parking is free. If you enjoy the show, we encourage you to support our mission by joining the association or making a donation. Please be advised that for health and safety reasons, NO OUTSIDE DOGS are permitted on the grounds during the show.
